The creation of painting studies is a significant part of Matthew’s practice; the beginning of the creative process, the moment of direct inspiration, the essential elements captured, ideas and imagery aligning, both an artwork and an anticipation of fuller realisation.
You are invited to request a study become a developed artwork to a size of your choosing by commission. Studies may also be available for purchase in their raw state.
